- 32 Camera Setup with Joystick Controller: Folks, we can't say it any
other way, but you're looking at the Top-Of-The-Line of PTZ cameras. So
what makes this camera better? Well, let's compare it to our DiGiDome
(above). Note, that this camera incorporates every feature our DiGiDome
has, yet has extra. For starters, rather than being limited to 355
degrees of rotation, our Speed Dome offers an Endless 360 Degree
Rotation (continually rotates a full 360 degrees). While this feature
may not be important to some, to others it's vital. The next addition is
Preset Positioning. What this means is you're able to store into the
memory of your Controller various camera positions that are frequently
traveled. Rather than having to grab the Joystick knob to turn your
camera to this position, merely press a number (up to 32) on your
Keyboard and your camera will "Speed" over to the number's corresponding
position. Need to view various areas throughout the day? With the Preset
Positioning and Tour mode, you're able to create and save a Tour of
these frequently traveled areas all by merely pressing a button! Pretty
nifty eh? Third, you'll receive an 180 degree Auto-Flip feature. Let's
say you're following a subject and they travel directly beneath the
camera and beyond, as the camera reaches the position of pointing
straight down, it automatically rotates/flips 180 degrees and then
continues - your screen always remains in a vertical position! On a
camera without this feature and in a similar circumstance, you would
have the hassle of 'manually' rotating the camera 180 degrees to
maintain a vertical picture. Fourth, Variable Pan/Tilt speeds. Move the
Joystick slightly in any direction and your camera will creep in the
desired direction. Move the knob a bit more and the camera will Pan/Tilt
faster. Move the knob all the way and your camera will 'high tail it' to
where ever your telling it! Appropriately called the 'Speed Dome'
because it moves when you say, Go! The final difference is the Color
Digital Sony HAD CCD. Its lux level rates at 0.2 (awesome!), offering
480 lines of Resolution. Aside from these differences and the fact that
it can only handle 32 cameras, rather than 255, as well as 128X zoom
(16x Optical and 8x Digital), all the features of the above DiGiDome are
